I need your help in the movement to cure arthritis

I am taking on the challenge to make a difference in an event that is very important to me! I am participating again in the Arthritis Walk to raise awareness and help raise money for research that will prevent and treat arthritis. PLEASE join my team & walk with me on Sunday, May 3, 2009. The event will be held at Loantaka Park - South Street Entrance, in Morristown at 11:00 a.m. Click on "My Team Page" to join, make a donation or start a team of your own.

Today, one in five people suffer from the pain and complications of arthritis. I am one of them; I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) when I was 20 months old. This is a form of arthritis that affects children. It is a potentially crippling disease that affects 300,000 children in the United States. JRA is an auto-immune disease in which the body’s defenses attack healthy tissue, mistakenly identifying it as an invader such as a virus or germ. With your help, the Arthritis Foundation can find better treatments and possibly a cure for JRA and related diseases. Together, I know that one day we will find a CURE!
